I don't know all the details yet, but Monkey was told today that they are cutting geo-batch, so he has to move out of the barracks. That means we have to figure out how to pay for two apartments. Awesome.
At least he'll be getting paid for E5 soon. But, so much for having any extra money.

Wordless Wednesday (Today is Wednesday, right?)
Here are a couple of pics from a wedding Monkey and I attended a couple of weeks ago.
Best wedding ever! (I'm in the yellow sweater, Monks is in the green shirt)

So...
So, I can quit my job (which I love, a lot) and have everything I want... except, everything else I want.
I'm feeling a little bit stuck right now. And it's driving me crazy.
That's all. Just blarging.
Oh, and p.s.: Why do people in Seattle have to honk so much?! Seriously, folks! It'll be ok if you have to wait half a more second while I figure out where this stupid road actually goes! Chillax a bit, K?!

Hmm
I suppose it's been a while since I've posted something. Just so busy enjoying my hubby time. My linky tool is not working and they provide absolutely no way to contact them... so my Boohoo/Hooyah thing is on hold until I find another link tool service that I like.
Lets see, over the weekend we finally did our stand up paddling. It was both easier and more difficult than I anticipated. Once I got used to it, the board was more stable than I thought it would be. But, it required much more technique to paddle efficiently that I thought it would. It is a very good core workout though. I think i could get into this. I want to try one of these SUP yoga sessions I've been reading about in hood river!
We also went to the fair! I took a couple pictures, but none of them are particularly attractive, so there are no pics to go with this post. We went on about 4 rides and we were both already feeling woozy so we picked up some dramamine from a kiosk and I think it helped. However, it also totally knocked us out. We got home at 7 and slept like rocks for three hours. Then Monkey got up and started packing to head back to base. I think i regained consciousness a couple of times, but I basically ended up sleeping hard for 12 hours. And the next day a was in a terrible haze. That stuff will mess you up! A little scary really.
I also finally got a new phone. I've been working with some Samsung POC that was having all sorts of random issues. I now have an HTC HD7S. It has the Windows Phone OS. It's ok. If i was a business person it would be a really cool phone. There are actually a ton of really great features. But, it's just not the platform for me. But, it was free and it's leaps and bounds better than my old phone. So, I will wait.

Hubbs has the next few days "off". Well, "off" meaning he's confined to his barracks because he had his wisdom teeth removed yesterday. He seems to be in good spirits and not too terrible pain so far. But i haven't talked to him yet today. He's also restricted to a liquid diet. I know that he has jello and pudding. I'm hoping he can get someone to go get him some yogurt, soup, and fruit smoothie-type-beverage so he's not living on sugar for the next week!
Last night was my second night of Jiu Jitsu. I missed last week because I had to get up early to go to Seattle for a client meeting. So, I was a little behind and didn't know any of the techniques they learned last week. So, when we got to playing at the end of class, the only technique I had was to hang on for dear life, or as I like to call it - the "spider monkey" technique. haha! Now, I realize this will not serve me well for long since it's really just a matter of who gets tired first. But for now, it's all I've got... and it's a hilarious ride!
And lastly, tonight I'm getting back to ballet class! I'm so excited. I didn't realize how much I missed it. I don't remember if I posted that my ballet studio closed a couple months ago. So, I've been looking around a little but I was going to wait until my summer special was over at my gym and enjoy the extra money. But then, one of the girls at work decided to drop in on a class that her friend teaches. So, I'm going with her tonight. I was so excited last night to dig out my tights and slippers and figure out what I was going to wear to class. I spent a few minutes in the mirror this morning practicing my lines and pointing my toes. Hopping back and forth and hitting poses.
I'm also getting pretty itchy to get back to Ballroom. That kind of pittered out a few months ago as well. That one is much more expensive so I might wait a little longer on that one. I think it will be my treat for paying of my credit card which I am also very close to doing.
Wow, well that was much more than I planned to write today. But, I think I just about got you all caught up!

A Boohoo and a Hooya - Week 10
Tomorrow I have to get up at 4am and then go up to Seattle with my team for a day full of meetings. I will therefor, not have time to post this tomorrow and don't feel like scheduling it. So, ya'll get this one day early. But, feel free to link up at any time during the week that you should happen upon this post.
You know how this works. Short format. Something that sucks, something that's awesome. Link up and link back. We all read, we all enjoy!
Hooyah: We went to an AMAZING wedding over the weekend. Without a doubt, the best wedding I've evern been to! And as a bonus, I got to see hubby all spiffed up in a shirt and tie. Always so handsome all dressed up. :D Pics and post to follow (hopefully).
Then, the next day in an unintentional, though appropriate, omage to the couple who's wedding we attended (as they are avid bike riders); we took a 41 mile bike ride from Banks to Vernonia. All in all, it was a freakin' great weekend.
Your turn!
(I don't know why the code below isn't working. I retried it 4 times. So, leave your link in the comments this week, please.)

Boohoo: I'm trying to schedule a stand up paddling lesson for Monkey and myself but neither of the two places I'm trying to go to will get back to me. SO frustrating. Emails and phonecalls are both going unanswered. Grr....

Roll with it
A couple weeks ago I was informed by my friend at the gym that I had been signed up for the girls jiu jitsu class. Now, I had talked with her about it taking the regular class with her, but that's what I meant - with HER. Never the less, it sounded fun and I didn't have to roll around with sweaty teenage boys.
The class started yesterday and I might already be hooked. We obviously started with some pretty basic stuff so class was basically somersaults and a chiropractic adjustment, due to having my arms stretched across my body and then someones body weight pressed on top of that.
So, of course I now have to get myself decked out with a shiny new Gi. But, this is me we're talking about so it won't be just any Gi. It will have to be appropriately girly and "cool", but not overly girly so that I don't look like "that girl" who thinks it adorable to get pink everything. I mean I LOVE pink. But, I'm a little bit of a purist in things and I think a bright pink Gi is overkill unless you can legitimately kick someones tail feathers. Otherwise you just look like you're trying to be too cute (I mean, unless that's your goal). That's fine for dancing and the gym, but we're supposed to learning to be tough, here. Right? Plus, white is easier to bleach. You know, in case you get someones blood on it. ;)
Anyway, that's this girls opinion on the matter. I don't care if someone wants to be "that girl", that's just not for me. I'm super girly, but a little less so when I'm kickin' @ss.
I have picked out this gi:
It's still white, so I won't stand out like a pink Popsicle in class, but it has cute pink and purple butterfly detail on it. Just enough "cuteness" for me.
And for your reference:
It'll be a while before I'll be sporting this gi
A Boohoo and a Hooyah - Week 9
Alrighty folks, it's Tuesday (right?) so it's Boohoo Hooyah time.
For my two new followers (woohoo!), here's how it works. It's a short format way to vent about something that's not working out for your this week and then follow it up with something that's going well! Choose your appropriate battle cry depending on your branch. Link up and link back so everyone can join the fun.

Boohoo: Still haven't gotten our couples massage that I've been saying we were going to get for the last two weekends. And I really need one, but I want to go with Monkey. Aaaannnd, we kinda over-spent and tapped into our savings so we need to let that recharge for a while first.
Hooyah: We both got new mountain bikes and made a 14.5 mile loop around Hagg Lake on Sunday. Unfortunately, the trail we chose was a little ambitious for us, so after 10 minutes, several curse words, a minor cut and three bruises; we decided to just ride on the road. It was still fun and a great workout. We'll just have to find some easier trails and work up to the one-track-rutty-dumps-you-off-down a hill of prickly bushes-trail – at a later time.
Ok, your turn!
